About Me

I have been an elected Community Representative for the last 8 years and during that time I have campaigned on many local and national issues. In 2006 I wrote and published an autobiography detailing 25 years of battling epilepsy and corrective neurosurgery. Since the original book was published I have worked with many organisations promoting diversity, equality and freedom of expression through creativity and campaigning for improved services for the wider community. I am currently the managing director of Radford United LE3 Ltd and I am working on a number of literary projects including the next instalment of my life story which tackles subjects not previously covered. Subjects include surviving sexual abuse. To discover more about me please visit my personal website. Www.Daviddipalma.co.uk (Content not within the control of

Due to having an acquired brain injury I am supported by Sophie the Jack Russell Terrier. Sophie was a rescue dog from RSPCA Woodside having been recovered from a breeding farm. Sophie is very perceptive and has quickly learnt how to support me by managing spatial awareness issues and protecting me from danger when out.
